The Nature of Exosomes

  • Micro-vesicles (30-150m) that are involved in cell communication.
    This is a new frontier in regenerative medicine. These exosomes have been recently discovered to be involved in direct cell signaling.
    The exosomes are isolated and purified using proprietary processing. The unique benefit to these exosomes is that they bring a wide array of Growth Factors to stimulate and modulate many processes within the healing cascade.

 

  • Exosomes are not cells but are micro-vesicles, which are about 1/1,000th the size of a cell and contain no nucleus or DNA. How are the exosomes processed? And are they safe?

Tissue is processed according to the rules and regulation of the American
Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). A thorough checklist of donor’s medical history, social history, and a blood test is performed. If donor is deemed an acceptable donor according to prevailing rules of the AATB, then tissue is collected at the lab. Once at the lab a tissue sample is sent to a 3rd party independent FDA registered lab for testing according to United States Pharmacopeia rule 71 (U.S.P. 71), which is a test for known communicable diseases. While that test is taking
place, tissue is then processed and red blood cell products are removed. A sample of the finished exosome product is then sent to a different 3rdparty independent FDA registered lab for sterility testing.
Only after both lab reports come back as “clean” and have passed the regulatory requirements, is the
processed exosome tissue product available for distribution.
